Beaches Sandy Bay Travelogues
“If you want a intimate stay this is the place”
The resort at Beaches Sandy Bay was wonderful, I highly recommend it, if you are on your honeymoon or (2nd Honeymoon) or a family with young children and looking for an intimate resort that isn't to large. It is quiet but this is what we were looking for, we meet people from all over the world Brit's, Italians, Germans and of course Americans from Ct, NJ, DE, CA etc.
The staff at the resort were very accommodating and friendly, always looking to assist and make your time with them special.
Everyone on the island was concerned that we were having a good time during our stay in Jamaica from the shuttle drivers to the vendors selling on the beach.
One morning we had planned to go snorkeling and we missed the boat, we got there a few minutes late (easy to do because you are so relaxed and aren't keeping track of the time) we got there and explained and they took us out on small motor boat to meet the main boat, they went out of there way to get us there and we had a wonderful time. There were many things to see from coral and fish to star fish, conchs, and eels. We even had the opportunity to explore a few caves.
We ate mostly at the resort, the food was fantastic, and they do wonderful things with the rice very flavorful.
One night we went over to Beaches Negril for dinner at the Japanese steak house, food was good as well.

We took a taxi ride into Negril as well, not cheap but your on vacation and expect to pay for fun etc off the resort.
The beach was beautiful, the water was warm and the sun was great. We had some rain in the afternoons, but it only lasted for an hour or so then it would clear up. We only were able to see the sunset the first night because it was too cloudy the others. But it was warm so we didn't care. All in all it was a very nice trip if just a day or two too short.
We never made it to Rick's found ourselves too busy to get there, we were only there for 3 full days too much to do in so short a time.
Our room was very nice, we had Suite on 3rd floor overlooking the beach at the end of the property. We had a wrap around patio, King size bed and kitchenette. We were very pleased with the service. Although we did have to ask to have the frig restocked a few times, but not their fault, since we would take naps and we prevented them from getting in.
I found this vacation to be one of the most relaxing we have ever been on.
