Sandals Montego Bay Reviews
“Great resort”
Just came back from two weeks at the Sandals Montego Bay Resort. We had a very good time. The resort was very nice and the staff was amazing. They were very friendly and they were always smiling and happy. Kimberley our wedding coordinator took very good care of us on our wedding day, Howard and Nardya from the playmakers team done a great job as witnesses. Natalie, our wedding photografer, done a very good job. Wayne at the Bayside restaurant was always nice and helpful to us, and of course all the barstaff deserves a mention. Marcel, Johnathan and the rest of the team at the beachbar were great and they made the most amacing drinks. Very good. Can recommend Bob Marley, Purple Rain and Jamaican Smile. Also have to mention Rodane at the lobby bar who was very friendly and gave us great service.
The food we thought was OK. Breakfast and lunch was good, but the dinners were a bit disappointing. The dinners looked good but didn't taste anything. It didn't taste bad, it was just very bland. The Royal Thai on the island of the Royal Sandals was a little bit tastier, but not more than it had to be.
We had nice weather most of the time. Very hot and humid, day and night. Some days it rained a little bit in the afternoon, but it didn't matter.
Being close to the airport was no problem. You saw and heard the planes taking off, but the noice only lastet for about 10 seconds. Didn't seem like anybody was bothered by the noice from the planes.
We got married at the resort and it was great. Everybody involved made the day very nice for us and a day to remember.
After the seremoni they took us to a nice part of the resort where they had made a small reception for us. Little bit of food, champagne, wedding cake and a wedding dance. For dinner we payed a little bit extra to have it on the beach. Very romantic. We sat down at six o'clock so we got the sunset.
I would definetly go back to the resort, but I wouldn't stay for two weeks again. Because you can't really walk about much outside the resort, apart from the hip strip, we became a bit restless after 9 or 10 days. You can go on various tours every day if you want, but that can get a bit expensive. I think I would either change resort after a week or so, or combine a week in Jamaica with a week at one of the islands nearby.
All in all we had a great time and I can recommend the resort to anybody.

My husband and I went to Sandals MoBay this past September, it was for our "honeymoon 5 years later" and we had the best time! The staff is the most friendly that we have ever encountered and the food was amazing the bartenders where so much fun and all the inclusions really were for everything that you wanted to do! We didnt do any of the tours and we still had so much fun without ever leaving the resort! There were group games that you could play if you felt like it, but there were also plenty of places to just to cuddle up together too! In a nut shell we will be coming back to Sandals MoBay as soon as possible!!
