While we have returned to Sandals on 8 occasions, this was our first visit to The Whitehouse. Our previous stay at The Grande St. Lucian was so memorable that we could not help but share our experience with our friends. They took us at our word and joined us in Jamaica. What a wonderful experience! The expanse of the property (50 acres) afforded us un-crowded beaches and access to the many bars throughout the property. The choice of restaurants and the menu selections provided a most memorable dining experience (Eleanor's for breakfast & dinner is a MUST!) An ever-smiling staff eager to serve, excellent cuisine, and a magnificently maintained landscape simply guaranteed that when we prepare for our next Caribbean vacation, it will be at a Sandals property. And, if we return to Jamaica... we will most certainly return to The Whitehouse!

On the untouched South Coast of Jamaica, Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa is a 50-acre seaside fantasy within a 500-acre reserve. In an impressive European village, you can stroll an expansive Italian piazza reminiscent of St. Mark's square in Venice... and be surrounded by the sophistication of France, the passion of Italy, and the charm of Holland with restaurants, duty free shops, and magnificent formal gardens bordering an endless stretch of pristine beach

In a class by itself........Sandals Whitehouse European Village Spa provides a noble escape in a European-style setting. This resort is truly a "Jewel in the South' and an ideal location for both the adventure traveler and those who want to relax. 360 air conditioned rooms.

A visit to the fish market in Whitehouse is a must and it is best to be there early in the morning as the fishing boats arrive from their night time fishing.Take one of the roads north from Whitehouse up into the hills and experience the panoramic views of Parkers Bay.

“Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

First of all, Jamaica is amazingly beautiful. I did not expect to love Jamaica as much as I did. Yes, there are poor areas, but the lush gorgeous mountains are breath taking. Let's get down to the nitty gritty:
The ride to the resort:
Yes, the road is bumpy and winding. As someone with a sensitive stomach I will assure you that at no time I felt like I was going to be sick. There is so much to distract you, just look out your window and relax.

The food:
Food was good. A lot of Jamaican food which is spicy, so I had to seek creative alternatives, but I got through it. There is so much food everywhere, you will not go hungry. Or thirsty for that matter. Bars are everywhere, alcohol is plentiful. My favorite restaurant was the Italian place, Guiseppe's. Go to the pirate dinner...it was great. If you are a returning guest to Sandals, like we were, go to the special dinner in you honor- it was awesome.

The service:
The service was awesome. Everyone was really accomodating.

The rooms:
AWESOME! We were upgraded to a suite and we loved it.

Extras:
We went on the trip to YS Falls. This was great...worth the money! We have great pictures that will last a lifetime.

Overall:
The resort is quiet- no other resorts on this side of the island, which makes for no outsiders on the beach. We had a great time. I really don't have complaints, other than the check-in process was a little unorganized, but once we got settled we had a blast.
