Breezes Runaway Bay 

Breezes Runaway Bay has the best SCUBA and golf in Jamaica. Here, 200 yards from the beach, the world famous Canyon wall is located. With two vertical walls facing each other, forming a gorge, divers can discover a whole new world with sea turtles and Bermuda chubs either by a boat or a shore dive!

We have locations in the tourist mecca of Jamaica, Montego Bay and a new beach facility off the tranquil waters of Runaway Bay. We also offer free pick up service from area hotels and cruise terminals in both Ocho Rios and Montego Bay.

Near Montego Bay, Seaworld Resorts (tel. 876/953-2180), at the Cariblue Hotel on Rose Hall Main Road, offers scuba-diving excursions to offshore coral reefs that are among the most spectacular in the Caribbean. There are also PADI-certified dive guides, one dive boat, and all necessary equipment for either inexperienced or certified divers.

Negril is a hotbed of diving. Negril Scuba Centre (tel. 800/818-2963 or 876/957-9641; www.negrilscuba.com), in the Mariner's Negril Beach Club, Norman Manley Boulevard, is the area's most modern, best-equipped scuba facility.

Snorkeling

The offshore reefs bordering the coast at Negril are excellent for snorkeling, many shallow enough to lure the beginner. The shoreline east of Ocho Rios to Galina Point is fringed by a coral reef of rainbow-hued marine life. Most resorts provide snorkeling equipment, but the activity isn't very well organized.
